R-1 Electronic Filing (REFS) Campaign reports and quarterly campaign reports can now be filed electronically through the Internet. The R-1 Electronic Filing System (REFS) is customized software developed by the staff of the Commission.

To receive the free REFS software so that you can file electronically you must:

• Attend one of the Commission's training sessions (the software will be distributed to you at the session);
• Apply for, and receive your registration number and PIN.

Legislative candidates who raise or spend, or expect to raise or spend, in excess of $100,000 in an election are required to file election fund reports and quarterly reports electronically.
