It is filed in lieu of the long form when the joint candidate committee (of 2 candidates) expends $6700 or less or (committee of 3 or more candidates) expends $9700 or less, including nothing. |

48-Hour Notices of Contributions. All candidates and committees, regardless of the amount spent, are required to file written notice with the Commission within 48 hours of the receipt of any contribution in excess of $1000 in the aggregate, from one source, received during the period starting with the 13th day prior to the election up to and including the date of the election of any such contribution. This notice may be filed by using Form C-1, a letter, a mailgram, a telegram, or any other written means. |

48-Hour Notices of Expenditures. A political committee which makes expenditures in excess of $1000 in the aggregate starting with the 13th day prior to an election up to and including the day of the election must file a notice with the Commission within 48 hours of making the expenditure. This 48-hour notice may be filed by using the Form E-1, a letter, telegram, mailgram, or any other written means. |
