File with ELEC and Diskette Preparation

Do not attempt to perform the “FILE WITH ELEC AND DISKETTE PREPARATION” until you have previewed your report and prepared and printed a copy of the report for transmittal to the county clerk and printed a copy of the report for your records.

At this time, INSERT the diskette provided to you as part of the Electronic Filing Program.

Uncheck the “FILE WITH ELEC PREVIEW” box and the “PRINT REPORT TO LOCAL PRINTER” box, if either are checked. Click on the “FILE” button and proceed as directed by the message boxes that appear on the screen. The report will be brought up onto the screen and you will be prompted to continue the “FILE WITH ELEC” process. After this process is completed and you receive the confirmation message, remove the diskette. The candidate(s) and treasurer must certify the electronically filed report by dating and signing the label affixed to the diskette. Without these signatures, the report will not be considered filed.
